This is the final part in our series of Insider Tips for how to use your Gradintelligence profile to maximise your chances of being discovered for opportunities. We love connecting students with opportunities, and we want to make sure students and graduates get the most out of their profiles.
Why build your profile?
Simply put, the more you develop your profile, the more likely you will be tagged for opportunities that are best suited to you and your preferences.
Gradintelligence uses an intelligent matching algorithm which takes the elements of your profile, and aligns them with the criteria that employers and Higher Education institutions are searching for in potential candidates or students.
So, how should you do it?
The Online Assessment Centre in your profile provides free access to psychometric assessments that measure your numerical, logical and verbal reasoning skills – alongside your personality traits and preferred working style. These assessments are reliable predictors of how suitable you are for different roles, which means that they are used to find the most relevant opportunities for you.
The personality questionnaire identifies your personal characteristics and preferred working style including how you handle relationships at work, your thinking style and how 
you manage tasks, and your feelings and motivations. The beauty of personality questionnaires is that there are no right or wrong answers, it’s all about your own personal preferences. Just approach the questionnaire with an open mind, think about the questions carefully and respond openly and honestly.
The Numerical, Verbal and Logical Ability tests are designed to measure your reasoning ability. Verbal reasoning is important for any work involving the communication of ideas or the understanding of written information. It can also be important for work requiring analytical thinking. Numerical reasoning is necessary where your ability to analyse and 
draw inferences from numerical information is key. Logical reasoning is essential for a variety of roles requiring complex problem solving.
Make use of these free tests in your profile – not only will it improve your profile to make sure you’re getting the best possible tags, it is also great experience for tests you might face during the recruitment process. Employers will often use these sort of tests when searching through candidates for a role, so this will give you a good head-start.
