R.K. Burt and Company of London set up as a paper supplier in 1892. It was the first company to distribute paper in the UK from some of the most famous mills in the world, including Arches, Fabriano and Hahnemühle. These days its range remains wide, covering everything from sketch pads and origami sets to handmade Papyrus and Nepalese and Japanese papers.
About the role:
Do you want to start your career with a small highly respected company that gives you real responsibility and challenges? This new role is available to graduates from all reaches of life and provides the opportunity to make a personal impact on our business. We have no specific degree requirements but are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate the right personality traits and have a positive can-do attitude. We are looking for self-motivated candidates with good interpersonal skills and the ability to progress quickly.
Based in central London you will be part of a highly specialized importer and wholesale distributor of fine art and digital inkjet papers. Although small, R.K. Your role will start with company familiarization; you will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the business and to develop a sound understanding of our broad product range and the business of wholesale and distribution. The role will naturally progress into a more specific area after the first year, perhaps sales, marketing or operations but this will be driven by your interests and ability.
